HRÖ Membership

We request all Hindus living in Austria to become the member of the Hinduistische Religiongesellschaft in Österreich (HRÖ). Becoming a member will help the organization fulfill the formalities to get the religion recognised in Austira. 

The Membership for Hinduistische Religiongesellschaft in Österreich (HRÖ) is free of charge. However, to avail the full benefits of membership, particularly to be able to contest in elections for any exectutive position in the organization and to takeup any posts within the organization, the members are required to pay the annual membership fee. 

Membership fee

The current annual membership fee is 10€/person for all individuals above the age of 18 years. 
For a family of 4 living in the same house hold, the annual membership fee is 30€.
There is no membership fee for children below 18 years of age, but they are required to register along with one parent.

How can I become a member?

1. If you are already a member of HRÖ, you will receive an email asking to confirm your email id. You will just need to confirm the email id. Apart from this, you donot need to do anything else.

2. If you never registered with HRÖ, you can become a member by filling up a manual form and sending it to us by email.

3. You can also become a member of HRÖ by filling out the online form. 

Eligibility to become a member

1. The applicant should be legally residing in Austria
2. The applicant should be a Hindu by family tradition or diksha, (i.e. Initiation/ by conviction).
3. The applicant should not be a member of any other religious society
4. The applicant is above the the age of full religious maturity (according to § 5 of the Austrian Federal Law on the Religious Upbringing of Children, the age is above 14 years)

Obligations of members

All applicants are obliged to obey the constitution of the HRÖ and donot do anything contrary to the basic principals of our religion. 

Processing the applications

All applications will be reviewed by the executive committe and a decision is made by the committee. Generally, all eligible applications are accepted.

Change of personal data

Changing of personal data like residential address, phone number of email address is possible anytime and free of cost. For this, please send an email from your registered email address to office.hroe@gmail.com

Canceling of membership

Cancellation of HRÖ membership is possible anytime and free of cost. Please send an e-mail from your registered email address to office.hroe@gmail.com or send a letter duly signed to our address given on the contact page.
