The protection of your data is important to us. Therefore, we want to inform you which personal data we collect and what is the purpose of it.

1. Your membership with HRÖ

To become a member of our organization, you must either completely fill, submit, and verify on-line forms available on our homepage or a hard copy form that can be provided, if asked.

To complete HRÖ’s tasks - as specified in the constitution, we need at a minimum the following personal data from you.

  • Fullname

  • Address

  • E-mail address

  • Phone number

  • Family members (if minor)

Your data will be stored with us for the duration of your membership and will not be shared with anyone without your consent.

In case you leave the organization, your data will be kept meeting the statutory retention period of (generally, 7 years or due to the requirements of some public funding authorities 10 years).

2. Your participation in our events

As a participant in our organization’s events, your personal data, insofar as this is necessary for registration or participation required for the events, will be saved with us.

We also inform you that as part of our organization’s events some photographs, sound and/or Video recordings may be created. These recordings can be in different formats such as media (print, TV, online) and in publications (print, online) and can be used as our organization sees fit.

3. Your visit to our website

The HRÖ is responsible for the content of the website as media owner and the publisher. During your visit to our website, we will collect the following information.

  • The date and time you accessed our website.

  • Your IP address.

  • Name and version of your web browser.

  • And the information that you provide yourself by filling out the contact form, registration form or Newsletter subscription.

This data is processed for the following purposes:

  • to make this website available to you

  • to further improve and develop this website and

  • to respond to your inquiries

When you enter your personal data on this website, you agree to give us your consent for us to use this data electronically for the specified purpose. This data will be securely stored and not passed on to third parties.

This is excluded from this disclosure to state authorities if the organization is legally obliged to do so.

The legal basis for processing your personal data is based on your membership type, your participation in our events, your visit to our website or ours based on our legitimate interests in accordance with the GDPR, which consists of the above points 1 - 3 to achieve the stated purposes.
